Eligibility & Participation Guidelines for YALA Enrollment:
Our leadership program is an enrichment experience designed to develop the personal, academic, and social growth of youth who demonstrate readiness for structured learning, peer collaboration, and leadership development. Participation is selective and based on the student's ability to engage cooperatively and independently in a group setting.
Please note the following participation requirements:

Students must demonstrate a cooperative spirit and a willingness to participate respectfully in all program activities.

Students should be able to follow directions, focus during activities, and exhibit self-regulation skills with minimal redirection.

Admission is based on a combination of the student’s final report card, teacher recommendation, and overall behavioral conduct as assessed by school personnel or prior program involvement.
While we value and support the diverse needs of all students, this program is not designed to provide intensive behavioral or academic intervention services. If your child currently requires ongoing redirection, exhibits significant difficulty with focus, or is not yet able to participate in a group learning environment without consistent support, this program may not be the best fit at this time.
We are committed to ensuring a positive experience for all participants, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to maintain a productive, respectful, and engaging environment for all involved.

A BIG PART OF THE APPLICATION PROCESS & BEING ACCEPTED:

Have no conflicts and able to attend at least 80% of the sessions (missing no more than 3 sessions)

and no conflicts with attending the Banquet of Honor (Tentatively Sunday, May 31, 2026)

This is a Parent and Child Commitment
Please provide a copy of latest report card with 2.5 GPA or higher and submit an application for each son.

Submit your forms by August 7th before midnight - NO EXCEPTIONS

You will be contacted to set up a 30 minute virtual interview session between August 9 - August 16
Be prepared to pay the registration fee and tuition fee after interviews
by August 23rd, 2025 - you can start making payments once accepted in the program. Thank You!
